Huawei inverter ensures stable operation of 2.2GW photovoltaic power plant

The largest 2.2GW solar photovoltaic power station in China, located in Gonghe County, Qinghai Province, has installed 7 million photovoltaic panels to supply power to Henan Province, more than 1500 kilometers to the east. The power station uses Huawei inverters to ensure smooth and reliable operation.

September 26, 2020 is a memorable day for Yellow River Company and Huawei.

 

 

At 17:18 pm that evening, the last section of the Qinghai Gonghe 2.2GW photovoltaic power station invested and constructed by the Yellow River Company was connected to the grid for power generation, marking the official power supply of the supporting power point for the world's first ultra-high voltage transmission project ("Qingyu DC") that supports 100% transmission of clean energy.

At the same time, the project has also become the world's largest single photovoltaic power station and the fastest new energy power generation project built in the world (it took one year from winning the bid to being fully connected to the grid).

 

The "Qingyu Direct Current", as the world's first ultra-high voltage transmission line that delivers 100% clean energy, spans 1563 kilometers from Hainan Prefecture in Qinghai to Zhumadian in Henan, continuously sending clean energy from the northwest plateau to the Central Plains. The light of the plateau illuminates the lights of every household in the Central Plains.

 

With the comprehensive grid connection of the 2.2GW photovoltaic power station in Qinghai Gonghe and the successive grid connection of existing wind power projects in Qinghai Province during the 13th Five Year Plan period, the installed capacity of renewable energy in Hainan and Haixi provinces has reached 15.436 million kilowatts and 10.12 million kilowatts respectively, and both bases have jumped to the level of tens of millions of kilowatts. The energy development goals of Qinghai Province during the 13th Five Year Plan period have been achieved ahead of schedule.

 

However, for Huawei people, this historic moment is a perfect answer sheet delivered through 270 days and nights of fighting alongside Yellow River Company, and a medal forged through ten years of perseverance and hard work.
