Sandblasting Air Compressor

To help our customer get cleaner and dryer surface after painting and sandblasting, we specially design our diesel portable air compressor with built-in after cooler and water separator. In this article, we explain how this equipment works.

All the air contains certain amount of water vapor. At coastal cities, humidity degrees can get much higher. After the air is compressed, the moisture content could become more concentrated. For sandblasting and painting operations, water in the compressed air could bring undesirable results to the treated surface. To help our customer get cleaner and dryer surface after painting and sandblasting, we specially design our diesel portable air compressor with built-in after cooler and water separator. In this article, we explain how this equipment works.

Sandblasting Air Compressor

After cooler

The after cooler inside the compressor cools down the hot compressed air and the moisture in the compressed air could become condensed. We are using air cooled after cooler with an electric fan pushing cool air between fins to push out the water vapor. This process uses low energy.

With our built-in sandblasting air compressor, over 70% of moisture could be transformed into water.

What’s more, our built-in after cooler are highly efficient and cause no loss of air pressure. So they don’t increase any demand or energy costs.

If the compressor is operating under a high temperature environment, normally it needs extra cooling. In situations such as this, it’s suggested to add dryers to the downstream setup. With our sand blasting compressor, the customer could just get a smaller-sized dryer.

Water separator

After the compressed air is cooled by the after cooler, water become saturated. With the water separator, the water could be removed from the pipeline and air could become much dryer.

Our built-in water separator is designed to provide >93% liquid separation from compressed air between 25% and 100% of their rated flow. The water separator module design includes optimized vanes to spin the compressed air, a high efficiency impinger for maximum separation efficiency, vortex concentrator and 90-degree elbow with turning vanes to promote a consistent, optimum air flow with minimal pressure loss.

Cummins engine

Comair sandblasting compressor is using world leading brand Cummins Engine to ensure smooth and powerful performance. Moreover, the Cummins engine enjoys an international warranty service, which means in almost every country, the customers could get local services on the Cummins engine.
