There are five ways of electroplating decorative chrome:
Protective-decorative chrome plating: a layer of chrome is plated on the surface of copper, nickel or alloy plating, which can obtain fine crystallization, beautiful and bright, with a silver-blue luster like a mirror. This type of plating is widely used in automobiles, trains, machine tools, and the decoration of external parts of daily appliances.
Black chromium plating: black chromium plating gives a solemn, solemn, resolute feeling, mainly used in aviation, instrumentation, cameras and other optical systems, as well as other products used for decoration, for marking and other occasions.
Milky chrome: Milky chrome is characterized by no luster, low hardness, no crack network, with the increase of the thickness of the plating layer, the reduction of porosity, good corrosion resistance. It is widely used in measuring instruments, indexing dials in mechanical equipment, dials, medical equipment and so on.
Hard chrome plating: This type of plating is characterized by a thick coating to highlight the special properties of the chrome layer itself, including heat resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low friction coefficient. Hard chrome is generally plated directly onto the surface of steel parts for a wide range of uses, such as hard chrome for large equipment parts such as large plungers for high-tonnage hydraulic presses.
Porous Chrome Plating: This is a special type of chrome plating that has a porous structure for specific application scenarios.
Each of these different types of chrome plating has its own characteristics and is suitable for different products and application needs, ranging from decorative aesthetics to functional enhancement, to meet diversified market demands.
