The main methods for preparing IN738LC nickel-based high-temperature alloy spherical powder are vacuum induction melting gas atomization (VIGA), electrode induction melting gas atomization (EIGA), and plasma rotating electrode powder making technology (PREP). Vacuum induction melting gas atomization (VIGA) The IN738LC high-temperature alloy is pre-melted into alloy bars of suitable size, and then the bars are loaded into a ceramic crucible. After the induction coil heats up and completely melts the alloy bars and keeps them warm for a period of time, the molten metal enters the spray plate through the guide pipe at the bottom, and the liquid flow is broken under the action of high-speed inert airflow and quickly condensed into powder. The powder prepared by this process has high sphericity and low oxygen content, but there is a problem of inclusion contamination that may be introduced by the crucible material. Electrode Induction Melting Gas Atomization (EIGA) IN738LC high temperature alloy is made into electrode rods, which are heated and melted by induction coils to form fine liquid flows. After passing through the spray plate, the droplets are broken up by the high-speed inert gas flow and quickly condensed into powder. This process is a crucible-free and flow-guided mode. The prepared powder has high purity, but the liquid flow stability is difficult to control, and the electrode needs to be melted out in advance, which has the problem of component segregation.
