This is found in the Ruins where you fall in as a kid.
Head there as an adult, and go all the way back to where Aloy first picked up the holographic display piece. There is a nearby doorway that is blocked off by stalagmites. Smash through them and inside you will find this Metal Flower.
The second flower is located in the bottom-left of the map, in the first area of the game.
The flower is up the mountain a bit, requiring some climbing and rope sliding to reach. Start at the house of Rost and Aloy, walk south-west in the direction of the flower until you get to the ropes.
Found in the second area of the game, just a bit North of Main Embrace Gate.
How do you get past Metal Flowers in Horizon Forbidden West? What are Metal Flowers and how do you clear them? Metal Flowers appeared in Horizon Zero Dawn as collectables, but in Horizon Forbidden West, they serve a slightly different purpose. Metal Flowers in Horizon Forbidden West are an obstacle at certain spots throughout the game. They will restrict access to specific areas until you discover how to deal with them. Once you learn how to get past them, you will be able to uncover what they are hiding.
You will almost certainly come across Metal Flowers before you are able to clear them. When you do, their locations will be marked on your map as a Blocked Path. You will not discover how to get past Metal Flowers until you have completed the Main Quest, Seeds of the Past.
After this, Aloy will have the capability to open Metal Flowers and clear the vines growing from them. To get past Metal Flowers, you simply need to hit them a few times with melee attacks, and press R1 once more to clear the vines.
