Cleaning Gloves Inspection and Quality Control Standards

Cleaning gloves are meant to provide safety to consumers and employees when dealing with dirt and grime and bacterial waste. There are numerous types of gloves that can be found in the market today and most of the gloves cater to a specific use.

Cleaning gloves are made up of the following types of materials:

  • Rubber Gloves
  • Neoprene Gloves
  • Latex Gloves
  • Nitrile Gloves
  • Unsupported Gloves
  • PVC coated Gloves

Some of the standards that we take under consideration when developing cleaning gloves inspection procedures testing protocols and include:

  • ASTM G120 - 01: Standard for the Determination of Soluble Residual Contamination
  • ASTM E1731 - 11: Inspection Test for Gravimetric Determination of Nonvolatile Residue
  • ASTM D4679 - 02: Standard for Rubber General Purpose, Household or Beautician Gloves.
  • ISO 25518:2009: Standard for single-use rubber gloves made from natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber latex or rubber solution
  • ISO 13999: Impact cut resistance test for use on materials used to manufacture cleaning gloves.
  • AS/NZS 2161: Standard used to comply with the Health and Safety Employment Act by having a CE marking displayed on the cleaning glove.
